Outstanding Fixtures

At the 2016 AGM it was acknowledged that not knowing where outstanding matches are up to causes frustration for teams and that the approach to outstanding matches was too casual. To address this then it was agreed that a page would be created on the website to keep people informed as to what is happening with outstanding matches.

In respect of the casual approach applied in 2015/16, this was adopted because the league committee do not like to award matches believing that points should be won on the table and not awarded "in the boardroom". So, the match secretary and the league committee will continue to take a flexible stance and allow cancellations where BOTH teams agree. This relaxed approach is not a licence to cancel matches at will and no team is obliged to accept a requested cancellation.

In the event of a cancelled fixture it is the responsibility of the initially defaulting team to ensure the match secretary is supplied with a revised date within 28 days of the original match date or we will have no choice but to award games.

To be clear matches do not have to be played within 28 days, the 28 day deadline relates to how long a team have to advise the match secretary of the revised date.

Revised date fixtures must be played before March 10th 2017 as outstanding fixtures are not allowed to be played in the last 2 weeks of the season.

In the event of an awarded match the defauting team will score 0 points and the team deemed not at fault will be awarded between 3 - 10 points depending on what the league's fixtures committee believe that team would have scored had the fixture been fulfilled. Defaulting teams will also be fined £15.
